Here's a link to the FRP story about the last time I went to Jingle Bell Jam:

February 2008 What's A Biker to Do? (Click on 2nd link for rest of story)
http://www.freeriderspress.us/feb08/pg13.pdf
http://www.freeriderspress.us/feb08/pg15.pdf

here's an excerpt:

Another week transpires, expires – a perilously frigid downtown Chicago night,
another TFTparty at one of those endlessly elusive city venues – a trendy club niche.
Evil Olive. The place crawls with wild-eyed poets in desperate love. A homeless tran-
sient checks his I-pod for messages & millionaire chum come to slum. A veritable
zine scene. The crème de la crème of Chicago's musical sphere gathers for charity.
Steve Goodman's ghost lurks in the
balcony. Gamble Rodgers floats
through smoking Hava-Tampa
Jewels, this being the last legal
week to smoke anything in an
Illinois bar. The late great phantom
Patrick Day appears to schmooze a
couple vogue a' la mode Soviet
sweeties who smile demurely at
nothingness making even an impos-
sible fantasy real.
Forget the dead. The live wires
roll in & the bartender claims it's
never been this crowded this early.
The stage hosts Ronn Dorsey,
Kevon Smith, Larry Beers & Brad
Peterson.

Ralph Covert, formerly of the Bad Examples, does his thing. Queen of House music,
Screamin' Rachel makes it real. Did you know Chicago House Music circa 1985 had an
unprecedented resurgence in Amsterdam last year among its young DJs? Rockers Mike
Tafoya, Chip Z'Nuff and Greg Potter electrify the air. Funkadelic George Clinton creates
his patented P-Funk Nation & threatens to
raise the roof. Just because it's colder than
a witch's zit is no reason for a biker not to
party. This joint rocks until 4am.

American Indian Center Toys for Tots Today
« Result #5 on Dec 6, 2009, 9:36am »

Hey guys,
I just got the confirmation call, the Toys for Tots Harley bikers are going extend their ride today. You may think this is an early call. They are already on the streets!!

Many of them have care and concern about our kids and community. They would like to gather at 10:45 at Lane Tech HS official end of the ride, and then continue it with over 50 or more bikers joining us at the AIC for a rally and some toys to be left for our kids.

Great way to continue to gather our community and get more people involved sharing our mission!

The cable stations covering the ride will also join us for a media shot with them.
If you have a bit of time 60 minutes today, please join us at the AIC at 11:30 to 12:30 to welcome the bikers who have gathered toys for us.

We are being creative in our fundraising efforts, please join us with your families!! We need your help too.

Party is December 19th at the AIC for Santa to join us and distribute toys.

Thank you,

Joseph Podlasek

The main body of riders, the big ride is out of Illinois Harley. I'm just meeting a few folks out on the periphery (Northwest corner of O'Hare airport). Korner House opens at noon. Ride will leave after first or 2nd round.

This is a benefit for Boo Robbins, bike tech at Illinois Harley.
